Two Big Rigs Collide Near Marne Michigan.

The Truck Crash Happened When A Semi Truck Rear-Ended a Freightliner Stopped for a Car Accident.

The truck accident investigation is being handled by the Ottawa County Michigan Sheriff’s Office.

The stopped truck was driven by Robert Evenbeck. The truck that failed to stop was driven by Mark Hilliard.

Evenbeck was extracted from his tractor by the Jaws-of-Life and taken to a Grand Rapids MI hospital with serious injuries.

The crash occurred at about 4:00 pm on November 9, 2016. And caused a several mile backup of traffic.

The semi-truck accident scene was near Marne MI which is 10 miles northeast of Grand Rapids Michigan and about 170 miles from Detroit MI.

It is unknown if distracted driving or cell phone usage was a factor.
