Dry Ice Truck Driver Driving with Suspended License Spills Dry Ice on I-95, Chester, VA.

Semi Truck Driver was Charged with Reckless Driving.

A 33-year-old driver, Brian M. Whitfield of Petersburg Virginia was driving the tractor-trailer at the time of the truck accident. The semi trailer was carrying dry ice when it overturned on I-95 July 29th, 2015. The accident occured at around 11:20 am. The driver has been charged with reckless driving and driving on a suspended operators license.

Whitfield and his passenger were both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Both the truck driver and his passenger were transported to Chippenham Hospital in Richmond VA with non-life threatening injuries.

The truck traveling from Hopewell, VA to Harrisonburg, VA.

The Virginia State Police are investigating the accident.
