Maine Commercial Oil Truck Spills Approximately 20 Gallons After Truck Accident near Freeport, ME.

The Truck Crashed When the Driver Lost Control Due to Apparent Brake Failure.

A Maine commercial truck crashed after the truck experienced a loss in brakes. Oil was spilled near the Harraseeket River. The location is adjacent to an Audubon sanctuary.

The accident occurred January 8, 2016 in the mid-afternoon. The Maine Department of Environmental Protection was dispatched to the scene to supervise the cleanup.

Freeport Maine is approximately 18 miles north of Portland, ME.
