Gilbert and Florence AZ Hospitals Release EHR

The Arizona Gilbert Hospital and Florence Hospital at Anthem closed in June of 2018. Financial problems, including millions of dollars of debt, caused the closure of the hospitals. This has created issues for patients who had obtained medical care from the hospitals to have access their EHR (Electronic Health Record) / EMR (Electronic Medical Record). The EHRs were stored on the Medhost EHR system, without having an EHR, these patients may be prevented from receiving proper treatment. As some patients tried receiving medical care from new doctors they were halted. These doctors couldn't give proper medication or treatment without knowing the patient's full medical history.Electronic Medical Record Sample Screen Electronic Medical Record Forensics Expert

The hospitals are now allowing the patients to access their EHR/EMR until June 23, 2019.  This will allow all the previous patients to gain the information that they need to receive further treatment.  After June 23rd, these records will be destroyed to protect the privacy of the patients. This adds urgency to those patients who want to get their health records.
